Neighbourhood Plan

The Parish Council developed a Neighbourhood Plan to give residents a voice in how our community changes and grows in the years up to 2030. The boundary of Boughton Aluph and Eastwell parishes was designated as the Neighbourhood Plan Area by Ashford Borough Council.

We held a series of community meetings, exhibitions and surveys to engage with and seek the views of residents on what should be included in the Neighbourhood Plan and this was vital to ensure that the plan represents local opinions. The community input along with extensive research and evidence gathering enabled the plan to be passed by the independent inspector before the community voted on the plan.

Your Neighbourhood Plan was formally adopted as part of the Ashford Neighbourhood Development Plan at the Full Council Meeting of Ashford Borough Council on 21 October 2021.
